" .... a one-woman Americana jukebox... fine fingerwork and sensitive singing, .... huge talent.” Huffington Post

The big leaf maples are launching yellow kites into the bright blue, here in the Tillamook Burn. It's a beautiful day.

This is my first autumn living in the country in many years and while that move emerses me joyfully in nature, it also means many changes in my Portland performance appearances. See below for more details.

Halloween in Portland

Tues., Oct 31 7-9pm NW Portland Hostel 479 NW 18th Avenue Portland, OR 97209 (503) 241-2783

Should be an interesting evening at the intimate Hostel Cafe, with food and brews , and maybe even an unplugged show! The audience is often made up of world travellers passing through the hostel and local folks. I' m working up some songs of the supernatural, murder and season.

Tillamook Burn

Tues., Nov 21 7 pm 479 NW 18th Avenue
Portland, OR 97209
(503) 241-2783

Zoë Carpenter will be in town and join me at the intimate NW Hostel Cafe. We expect the room to fill again with fans and international guests, making this rare opportunity for an unplugged show, or at least an environment where nuance reins supreme. Expect a quiet listening environment, with good food and brews from the cafe.

Zoë will be sharing some solo original material as well as joing for the Tillamook Burn set.

Terry Robb and Lauren Sat Nov 11, Muddy Rudder 8 pm

tear it up almost monthly at the Muddy Rudder in Portland. We have a great time playing old acoustic blues, new blues and a variety of other American music that we like. The packed houses are a clue that other folks like it, too. There is usually a turnover around 9pm, when the happy hour crowd leaves, surrendering a few tables and seats to those that came for the music. Expect lots of guitar/mandolin pairings throughout the show as well as guests to sit in from time to time.

the Portlanders

This delighful band transitions to a new sound and season without me. Yes, I am sad, too, but my touring needs and decision to live out of town has made it too difficult for me to meet the challenges of scheduling that 5 people require. Keep up with the Portlanders here:

with LIGHTNIN' WELLS | Jan 6, Artichoke Music http://lightninwells.com

I'll be opening this show with one of my mentors and 'North Carolina Treasure' Mike Lightnin' Wells. Lightinin knows more great old music than almost anyone else I know, and he keeps nuances of old styles and soul alive. He's what I'd call the real deal, (and I'm a cynic).

Don't miss him.
