It's Lightnin' Wells, one of my favorite musicians. Since I'm headed for SERFA in NC, I can't help but wish I had time to hear him play.

Check out his webite and music - you'll love it.

This is a brand new release of a collection of songs made popular by Pete Seeger to benefit the Hudson Sloop Clearwater Foundation in his memory. All of us on the project are part of the Wepecket Island catalog and have donated our time and song to the cause. My contributin is Living in the Country, a wonderful guitar piece.

Old Songs is a family-friendly festival of folk, traditional, Celtic and world music and dance, known for its relaxed atmosphere, interactive sessions and workshops,hands-on experience and participatory nature. The line up is fantastic and I am looking forward to playing and teaching at this festival for the first time.

Zoë Carpenter will be joining me, bringing our tight family blend of roots and blues Americana. I"ll also be doing a presentation about the Kalamazoo Gals and the Gibson Banner guitars they made in WWII.

There three concerts at the festival as well as 120 daytime workshops given by performers. Also featured are a juried craft show, food and instrument vendors, and a well-run children's activity area.

Sounds great, doesn't it?
